EFF BlackboardEducational fonts are made for children or anybody concerned with learning to read and write.
Modern sans serif fonts often have letters which are very similar, for instance lower case letters b, d and p are often mirror images of each other. When one learns to read and write it is helpful to haveIn other words, it helps if the font resembles a clearly hand written simple letters.
- letters are as simple as possible - lower case a and g should not be very complex as is the case in serif fonts
- letters which do not resemble each other - lower case b and d should not be a mirror image of each other
Different societies and even different schools have their own writing models (styles of writing) and, of course, people with different reading and writing abilities require different styles of fonts. That is why we made several different fonts grouped together under a banner Educational fonts.
