The Fraction fonts have been specially designed to complement standard typefaces. If you are using EFF Swiss Bold font then EFF Swiss Fractions Bold will allow you to type any fraction in that font. The fraction fonts allow you to produce fractions as well as normal digits.
The keys of the top row are just normal digits: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0. The next row keys are encoded with numerators. All of them are width zero, which means that the cursor will not move to the right after a numerator is typed.
The keys of the second row are encoded with denominators; they have normal width. It is easy to remember a number corresponding to a key - it is a number above that key, slightly to the left.
If you want to type fractions "in columns": you should type the first digit of the numerator followed by the first digit of the denominator, the second digit of numerator, etc. If a numerator digit is "missing" then you omit it, if on the other hand a digit of denominator is missing you need to type "space".
You can see examples of the fractions on the previous page.
This font is supplied with a detailed manual.
